Let me just say, two of my very un-favorite things are being cold and being wet…. BUT two of my most favorite things are Couple’s Sessions and fantastic clients that are up for anything!! That being said, I absolutely loved this session with Tia & Worth!
I do love a session in the snow, very much. However, we were not expecting snow or even rain this day! When I left my house, the skies were dry and by the time I arrived to meet Tia and Worth it was like a whole new season! They didn’t think twice about facing the rain and snow, they were such troopers, and it made for some incredible images!!
Such a gorgeous couple, these guys made my job easy!
They live in the most beautiful area! This river is running through their backyard! I am so tempted to bring more clients to your house for future sessions, Tia! ..but I won’t, I promise : )
Their pups were so cute too. One was so playful and the other had a bit of an attitude ;) I say that in a very loving way. It was fun to include them in our session!
To avoid getting completely chilled to the bone, flattened hair, and electrocuted by my camera we split up our session with a couple of breaks inside. I just love this next image. Tia & Worth – so hot right now! ;)
By the end of our session the snow had turned to pouring rain. Which doesn’t sound ideal for a photoshoot but I think it completely upped the romance level in these images.
I love how he’s looking at her in this one <3
Thank you so much Tia & Worth for an incredible session!!
I recently had the pleasure of meeting a super sweet little one-year-old guy! He came to visit me for his first birthday photos, and boy oh boy did we have a fun time! :) He has the brightest baby blues and beautiful full eyelashes!!
We started off our session exploring a little outside. He recently mastered his clapping skills and was happy to show them off to me during our session. What a happy smiley little man!
I just love that baby curiosity. It’s so fun to watch them learn about the world.
What a fine looking family!
On to the party!! What better way to celebrate your first birthday than with a special cake all to yourself?!

I love the subtle smile in this next one as he looks down at his cake :)
Sharing with Mommy.
Sometimes you gotta get your feet into it :)
All the sweet sticky details!!
Thanks so much for sharing your first birthday with me, Mason!
Wow!! 2012 was a big year for JP Photography! I am so blessed and thankful to have such wonderful returning clients, new clients, and new friends! Thank you all for being a part of our year.
What a relief that the world didn’t end, and we can look forward to another fantastic year ahead! :) Here’s some big moments, milestones and some favorite times from 2012…
I kicked-off 2012 by celebrating this little man turning one!! It’s such a privilege following my littlest of clients through their first year, and this guy is just so adorable with his beautiful blue eyes he always makes my job easy! :)
A huge highlight for me this year was a special project for my JP Portfolio. This was a stylized session, Trash the Dress: Prom Edition! This was my baby for the summer, something I had planned and worked on for a long time before even shooting it. I am so happy that this was part of 2012 for me.
On a personal/half-business note.. my husband and I bought a house this summer!! I say it’s half business because, well… you see those big beautiful windows? That means, it’s been the PERFECT home studio setting for natural-light newborn sessions! I even created a nursery in one of the bedrooms for a private place for moms to feed and snuggle baby during breaks. Come check it out :)
I keep forgetting how exciting 2012 really was until I look back at all of these!
I had the opportunity to go down on the field at the Tacoma Rainiers Game to photograph my favorite non-profit, Peace Out, throw the first pitch!
Every year I go to the fair, and every year I am dying to do a session there! Well, 2012 was my year! I shot a very fun and colorful session at the fair during the golden hour of the setting sun. Photographer bliss!
This beautiful family was the icing on the cake! ..or should I say the jelly on the scone? lol, maybe I shouldn’t.
In September, I took a huge step with JP Photography, and a huge leap of faith. JP Photography went full-time! This opened many more doors for my business, including the opportunity to shoot weekday sessions, which can be very important in Newborn Photography.
I had the opportunity to photograph so many beautiful newborns since going full-time. For the sake of keeping my readers, here’s just one of those beautiful babes.
In 2012 I offered my first (likely annual) Holiday Mini Sessions for clients, and boy were these a hit!
I could go on and on sharing my beautiful clients of 2012 :) Thank you all for being a part of my year. Returning & new clients, and those of you who’ve referred JP, I appreciate you all so much!! Looking forward to 2013!!
